Emergency Shelter

A safe place for women and children escaping domestic violence. Safety and confidentiality are also provided for males victims and their children. Please call the numbers below for detailed information on the length and requirements of our program.

Women and children may stay at the confidential emergency shelter while participating in a comprehensive program. The Shelter program includes counseling, support groups, case management, assistance, food, clothing, referrals and advocacy with community services.

Admission to the Shelter is based on the availability of space and a detailed interview by our staff. Rules for acceptance and participation in the program are the same for everyone without regard to race, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or disability (providing program requirements and funding guidelines are met.)

If you are in need of immediate assistance and shelter, please call our crisis workers at (805) 781-6400 during business hours. After hours, call HOTLINE at (805) 549-8989.

This service is only available in San Luis Obispo County. If you are not in this county, please call your local women's shelter or 1-800-799-SAFE for the shelter nearest you. If you are in immediate danger, dial "911" or call your local police department.
